Yeah, a little different.
Typically associated with pomfrets and other sea food. Being a non seafood lover always wanted to do something on a similar line with chicken. Perfect lazy sunday and loads of time to kill. Tried the below recipe and came out very nice. No prior planning done, picked whatever was available at home and made it. Enjoy.
Chicken : Boneless, Diced as medium pieces
Pepper : 10 Corns
Cinnamon : 1/2 inch Stick
Red Chillies : 5
Cardamom : 2
Cloves : 2
Dry Ginger : 1 Inch
Green Tea : 5 Pinches (Yes, Green tea leaves)
Fried Gram : 1 Tea Spoon
Methi Seeds : 1/2 pinch
Jeera : 1 Table spoon
Rava : 1/4 Cup (Semolina)
Salt : To taste
Vegetable Oil : to fry
Dry roast all the ingredients except rava, till they become completely roasted.
Grind them course in a blender. Keep aside.
Dry Roast the Rava
Mix it with the Ground masala, add salt and mix well.
Roll the chicken pieces on the spice mix, coat them well, and Fry.
Serve with a Lime Wedge! As simple as that!
